After a campaign by BiNet USA and bisexuals worldwide, Google has removed “bisexual” from its list of banned words.

As reported in Bi Magazine, on February 15th, 2012 BiUK, a British based umbrella organization for various bisexuality research projects and events, in collaboration with the Open University (OU) has just released "The Bisexuality Report: Bisexual inclusion in LGBT equality and diversity" (pdf).

( This 2012 report is a very welcome and important addition to the cannon of Bisexual Studies, Bisexual Theory & general Queer Theory as well as contributing to the fields of Queer Studies, LGBT Studies, Feminist Studies and Gender Studies. )

( As we commemorate International Human Rights Day, the American Institute of Bisexuality is launching a message of hope for bisexual teens who suffer bullying and harassment along with their gay, lesbian and transgender peers )

It will be on the evening of Tuesday June 22nd beginning at 5 PM and invitations, which were mailed last week should already have been received.

( We must wonder, would they be so quick to honor a gay man who consistently made anti-Trans remarks or anti-Semitic slurs? With all the good people in the LGBT Community, can't they find some non-bigots to honor instead? )

So like all good little Queer Activists I was quickly skimming thru GLAAD's "Stories to Watch" section when I cam upon these two items:

1.) Out-of-State Gay and Lesbian Couples Can Marry in Massachusetts
2.) New Studies on Marriage for Gay and Lesbian Couples

( GLAAD the term is 'Same Sex Marriage and you of all organizations know this! So why are you disrespecting and distracting a large portion of the LGBT Community by using this non-inclusive language especially in this important election year? )
